China is one of the world’s biggest and most populated countries. Therefore, it is very busy, cars and trucks are everywhere. But this also makes the country more polluted. So the Toyota car company is hoping to contribute their technology to produce and sell Prius to people all over the Chinese city Changchun. This will also mark the first time that the hybrid is actually produced out of Japan. Since Toyota is the world’s second largest automaker, its goal is to produce 1,000,000 of these hybrids by 2010.

From the time the first person owned a hybrid to today, these people are known for mainly one thing: their smart thinking of making this choice. But now, the Honda Civic Hybrid comes with even more: a smart styling to match and you still earn an Advanced Technology Partial Zero-Emission Vehicle (AT-PZEV) rating, which allows you to save gas while you are enjoying things like the new multi-tiered instrument panel, a sophisticated audio system, and even an available navigation system! The car also has extra side airbags to make driving extra safe, and with all that, you may now think of this hybrid car in a whole new way.

Hybrid cars are now becoming more and more of what some people call a “smart car”, and they are still fuel efficient. In fact, the EPA named it the most fuel efficient vehicle in its class. It is convenient as well, because the electric battery never needs to be charged by plugging it in. With gas prices so high and hybrids so popular, almost no one could resist these awesome cars, especially because they save you lots of money. Some examples include allowing you to park on any parking lot for free, saving money on gas and on taxes. So everyone cheer on the hybrids!
Hybrids’ motor is divided into two main parts that really make it the hybrid car: the gasoline and surprise, surprise, the electric motors, and the best part about the electric motor are that you don’t need to recharge them, ever! That’s right, let’s hear it for the hybrids! The engine automatically recharges as soon as you stop accelerating, and also when you drive higher than 60 MPH!
The biggest difference that hybrid cars have from gasoline powered cars is fuel economy. Hybrid cars can travel up to 60 MPG, while most gasoline powered cars only have a maximum of 25.
Another reason that people buy hybrid cars is that they can help reduce the greenhouse effect. Because most of the time the car is being powered by electricity, barely any gasoline comes out of it at all. Just think, if everyone had a hybrid car, that would make a big impact on the world, and of course, there would be much less pollution

Recently, the Toyota Hybrid makers are proud to present rooftop solar panels on one of their best cars: the Toyota Prius Hybrid. The solar panels will be sold in kits that cost $2,195.00. The solar panels are still being tested, but mechanics can conclude that with them, the car can drive up to 62 MPG on the road, which is a ten percent improvement for the overall MPG.
Solatec’s photovoltaic kit (patents applied for) has inside it two flexible solar panels that charge on the hybrids’ auxiliary battery through a proprietary current-limiter system behind interior trim panels. The self-adhesive, rooftop-mounted panels are only 0.6mm thick and does not cause any change in the aerodynamic drag.
